On the 11th of this month there is news that Nokia will abandon Symbian system, in turn pushing open-source platform, Maemo. This week, Nokia launched in October acknowledged to be high-end phones based on Maemo Systems Nokia N900.

However, Nokia said Friday, and will not give up Symbian. Nokia’s sales director for Anxi 10000 Iozzi (Anssi Vanjoki) said: “This is not a threat to Symbian’s position, Symbian will be our main platform for the future will be fully complete.”

Late last year, Nokia’s Symbian has just completed the acquisition of the remaining 52% stake in the work to achieve 100% Holdings of Symbian. Maemo is a Linux-based software platform for mobile devices, which is the operating system, Nokia’s top brands, to compensate for some of the congenitally deficient Symbian
