Unlike Verizon, though, Sprint is offering up the download courtesy of their Moment support page. This means that it’s going to completely wipe your device once you get it downloaded, so be sure to back-up everything that you want to keep. There’s instructions you can find right here, courtesy of a PDF file. It’s not an OTA update, meaning you won’t be told there’s a download waiting for you, so if you want 2.1 and you’ve got a Moment, just head on over to the site and start your download. And, as soon as you do, let us know what you think of it, okay?

For a first attempt, this app is quite polished. It looks really good and that’s kind of shocking, it came out so fast I expected it to be through together and ugly but that’s not the case. There’s a widget included and you can even tweet right from the gallery. This makes sharing pictures a breeze. This tablet has a 7 inch capacitive touch screen, Flash 10.1, SD card slot (I’m assuming it’s a micro slot), Market access via the Cruz Market and some type of eReader capabilities. Are you ready to buy it yet? Looks like you’re going to have to wait a bit longer, the links on the page doesn’t work, there is no price set on the page that we can see. Maybe the page is still under construction. Most of us might be skeptical about this because the last affordable tablet turned out to be a hoax.

UPDATE: Engadget is reporting this will be an Android 2.1 device with a 800 MHZ processor. Also, its expected to retail around $300.

I checked the Google phone page and it still says coming this spring. This phone will likely get the same subsidized treatment as the T-Mobile version. So whenever it is available get ready to get locked in for a specified amount of time, that isn’t a bad thing trust me, it’s a great handset and it will guaranteed get the rumored 2.2 before every other device.

Android use is up 70 percent from last quarter, and there are reportedly 60,000 Android phones sold every day in the world. The popularity of Android coupled with the ease of app development is attracting more and more developers to the platform. Developers have more freedom over Android than they do over other platforms(iPhone’s in particular). These number will continue to grow at a fast pace so expect more great apps soon.

There are 38,000 Apps Are in The Android Market

The announcement was made at the Twitter Chirp conference, but it isn’t yet clear whether Twitter are planning to acquire an existing Android app (like they recently did with the iPhone Tweetie app), or whether they’d prefer to partner with a developer or mobile device maker  and create the app from scratch.

Twitdroid and Seesmic’s Android application are currently among the most popular Twitter clients for Android phones.

Intel already has Android running on Atom-based smartphones and certain customers are interested in using it, said Renee James, general manager of Intel’s software and services group, on the sidelines of the Intel Developer Forum (IDF) in Beijing.

Most of their leg work has been done by other companies. Intel is hoping these Atom-based Android devices will be a huge hit. With their track record, I expect nothing less than greatness from them and their products. We may start to see these devices soon since they have some working products. The ninja spy shots should start to pop up soon.

Don’t be too dismayed, we’ve also got a few pieces of information that you might like. Along with the suction cup that’s going to make your Nexus One all handy while you’re driving, and the adjustable arm that’ll put it somewhere easy to reach you’ll also get: built-in speakers, the ability to charge your Nexus One while it’s docked, and volume controls for when that lady robot gets too loud for you. Nexus One Car Dock Pictured; Still Not Available

In the video the phone seems very responsive and quick. It still has that ugly back that I hope Verizon ditches in the production model. The specs are almost identical to those found in the Nexus One but this has an 8 megapixel camera with autofocus, an optical trackball the 1GHZ Snapdragon is underclocked to 768.
