Seeing the HTC manufactured EVO 4G in still-frame isn’t good enough. You need to see it’s glowing, monstrous screen in action. One look at that keyboard is enough to make anyone get all jittery on the inside, with unadulterated anticipation. We know that’s not just us. So, after you’ve read over the official announcement a few times, and taken in all the specifications, come back over here and watch the glorious video. It’s well worth it.

HTC Incredible – First Look (Video)

The HTC Incredible has not yet been announced officially by Verizon, it’s expected to make its debut at this year’s CTIA along with a slew of other Android based devices. Verizon Wireless fans are impatiently waiting for this to hit the shelves and that may happen within the coming weeks.

In the video the phone seems very responsive and quick. It still has that ugly back that I hope Verizon ditches in the production model. The specs are almost identical to those found in the Nexus One but this has an 8 megapixel camera with autofocus, an optical trackball the 1GHZ Snapdragon is underclocked to 768.

HTC Tattoo Getting 2.1

The lone Android device on Vodafone has now been confirmed to get Android 2.1 by HTC. This low end Android device features HTC’s Sense UI and has the smallest screen on any Android device (and it is resistive).

In a statement released by HTC:

“Kindly note that now we understand that a phone running Android OS 2.1 is available that you are excited to get an update for your Tattoo. We are still working hard to Sense for building this new version but we expect to have the upgrade finished and ready to go soon. Please understand that it takes time to customize any Android release to Ensure You Have The Sense provides intuitive experience, and we hope you can be patient for just a little while longer.”

All these 2.1 announcements are good but I am ready to see them on the devices rather than just talk about it coming.

HTC CEO Peter Chou today confirmed that the HTC Droid Eris for Verizon, the HTC Hero for Sprint, and the HTC Hero for European markets will all be getting upgrades to Android 2.1. In addition, those phones with HTC Sense will be getting the improvements – such as Helicopter view – pushed to their phones. While I’m sure HTC would be happy to make Android 2.1 and the newest HTC Sense available to customers in full, they made it clear that would ultimately be the carriers decision on what to include or disclude from the OTA updates

Word on the streets(lol) is this beast first home will be T-Mobile UK on March 26th.
