Take the Nexus One, make some minor style/spec adjustments, put it on Orange UK and sign a service contract and what do you have? A FREE PHONE! That’s right: Orange UK just issued a press release stating that, starting in April, they’ll be offering the HTC Desire for free on contracts with certain monthly price plans. The press release also lists the HTC Desire as an “Orange Signature Device” and I’m wondering if that indicates a certain level of exclusivity… or what the deal is there
The phone we originally known as the Bravo has been officially named the Desire by HTC is the hottest phone around the internet and now their are a few rumblings around that the first carrier to offer this phone is T-Mobile UK. Word on the streets(lol) is this beast first home will be T-Mobile UK on March 26th.
Huawei promised phones at MWC and they delivered: for Android it arrived in the form of the Huawei U8800.
The Motorola MOTOROI is definitely a stunner, but the looks are almost surpassed by just how amazing it feels, it glows with quality — think Milestone , but somehow nicer. The display and UI on this Android 2.0 set are right on, with no lag to speak of — in our really limited hanging-from-a-tether-being-jostled take on it — while flipping about the OS. Sadly, like most other sets on display, the internet wasn’t going anywhere for us to really take it for a spin. But, hey, the MOTOROI is apparently headed to the US in March, and we’re without a doubt going to get a little more in-depth with this phone just as soon as we’re able
Acer’s announcement of the Liquid E was pretty disappointing so we’re happy that’s not ALL they had planned.
