HTC Desire ROM makes Sense on the Nexus One

It’s no secret that the HTC Desire is the exact same hardware as the Nexus One with a Sense-based Android build on top of it, so it shouldn’t be any surprise that an enterprising hacker has already started porting the Desire’s ROM over to Google’s baby. Interestingly, the system file is a little too big for the Nexus One’s internal storage, so some rearranging was necessary, and not everything works yet, but it’s a start — and apparently Flash 10.1 is included and enabled, so this one should be a hot ticket when it’s released.

HTC Bravo Renamed Desire, Modified Nexus One?

If the kids at Modaco are right, the rumored HTC Bravo will launch on Verizon Wireless as the HTC Desire, pleasing a LOT of people but confusing many in the process. The HTC Desire was also the rumored “codename” for what eventually became the HTC Droid Eris. Any way you look at it, the *new* HTC Desire (artist formerly known as Bravo) is essentially another carrier’s version of the Nexus One. All this is rumor of course, but according to the pictures and information here, it’ll also come with HTC Sense

AT&T Motorola Backflip To Include Yahoo! As Default Search Engine

AT&T’s first Android powered handset, the Motorola Backflip , will use Yahoo! as its default search engine. According to a report by BusinessWeek, the Motorola Backflip will feature Yahoo! as the default search engine, although users will be able to manually change the provider to Google if they wish. Motorola Droid Running Flash Player 10.1 Video

Last week Adobe released a demo video showing their Flash Player 10.1 software up and running on the Google Nexus One . Well this week it’s the turn of the popular Motorola Droid to receive the same Flash treatment. In newly released footage, Adobe’s Adrian Ludwig showcases Flash Player 10.1 running well on the Droid with the Android 2.0 software.
