HTC Legend: unibody Hero replacement with AMOLED

HTC have officially launched the HTC Legend, the successor to the Hero and a slick, unibody aluminum smartphone running Android 2.1.  Packing a 3.2-inch HVGA AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with multitouch support, the Legend also gets the latest version of HTC Sense 900/2100MHz UMTS/HSPA support and WiFi.

HTC Desire puts Sense UI into the Nexus One

The smartphone we knew unofficially as the Bravo has been made official, and the HTC Desire is enough to put any Nexus One envy out of your mind.  The Desire has the same 3.7-inch AMOLED multitouch display as the Nexus One, but throws in HTC’s coveted Sense user interface complete with Exposé-style “helicopter view” for homescreen thumbnails. There’s also European UMTS/HSPA 900/2100, an optical joystick, 5-megapixel autofocus camera with LED flash, WiFi, Bluetooth and a 1GHz Snapdragon CPU.

UK Motorola MILESTONE over-air update going live NOW

A gift from Motorola to you. All you Milestone users in the UK can update to Android 2.0.1. All you have to do is go into settings then select system update and you soon can bask in 2.0.1 in all it’s glory. Here’s what Motorola said via their facebook page: “To all UK Milestone users, the OTA server is up and you can now install the Android 2.0.1 update on your device – simply go to ‘Settings’ then select ‘System Updates.’ If you’re in France, Germany or Italy and haven’t updated your Milestone yet, you can also install it via OTA…” Although this isn’t the long awaited 2.1, Motorola did keep their promise of delivering an update even though the phone has no official local network.
